Mini Munch Club – Glenrothes
The Fife Gingerbread Early Years team works with families across Fife with early years families. Our hopes are to work with parents/carers to give their children the best possible start in life in safe, happy, warm homes.
As part of this we deliver lots of exciting groups, and a great example is our Mini Munch Club which we’ve been offering since August 2024 to families in and around Glenrothes.
Aimee and Stacey put lots of thought into planning the sessions, and each week is a fun-filled opportunity with a different theme. Creating space where families can get together to play, create, read, sing, and eat some nutritious food. Our families have dressed up and got messy as sailors, pumpkins, fairies, pirates, and princesses, and have experienced a teddy bear picnic and a mad hatters tea party.
We recently collaborated with Play on Wheels to provide loose parts play which has brought lots of learning, sparked curiosity and creativity and has been enjoyed by everyone.
The Mini Munch Club are hoping to provide ‘Drama Tots’ later in the year where our Mini Muncher’s will learn about teeth brushing, bedtime routines, emotions, and feelings. This group will be a mix of drama games, movement, stories, and action songs, all of which will promote attachment, speech and language, and fine motor skills.
We want to give our fantastic families inclusive free opportunities in a safe and happy environment that strengthens bonds and helps families flourish and feel connected to their communities. Most importantly, we want to bring lots of joy and laughter long the way.
Some quotes from our parents -
'Mini Munch club has been a place of warmth and familiarity for my little girl and I, something we look forward to each week. She's had so many opportunities to explore new play opportunities and interact with other little ones and develop relationships with others, as well as have quality one to one time with me. And, of course, enjoy lots of yummy snacks along the way too, she lives to eat!'
‘We love bringing our son to mini munch club it's always so much fun the workers are so energetic and amazing and there's always so much to do to occupy the kids with all the different activities.’
‘Fife Gingerbread mini munch has been an umbrella for myself and my family, my daughter has grown so much more confident and I've felt supported by the team.’
The Mini Munch Club is aimed at parents/carers with a 0 to 5 year old living in Glenrothes.
