Early Years Collective
Supporting vulnerable families to give their children the best possible start in life through early intervention, a holistic whole family approach and partnership working.
This service is focused on prevention and support for families with young children (0-8 years) where there are indicators of vulnerability that if not addressed will lead to a breakdown, crisis, and statutory measures. A key driver is for children to remain within their family and community where it is safe to do so.
Our Early Years Team work alongside Home-Start and The Cottage Family Centre to deliver a coordinated approach in Fife.
In Partnership with Starcatchers where we offer a specialised early intervention service that responds to the specific needs of young parents with the aim to prevent them reaching crisis point. Our approach is strength-based and centred around building trusting relationships. 1:1 support from a Fife Gingerbread worker and the arts-based group from Starcatchers enables a rounded provision that supports parents to improve mental health, confidence, relationship skills, employability skills, peer support networks and parental skills.
